He counsels employers in all aspects of union-free management and advises non-union companies facing union organizing activity. He also represents employers in unfair labor practice and representational proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board and U.S. Courts of Appeals. In addition, Mr. Kiesewetter works with companies that have unions to improve union-management relations and represents management in contract negotiations, arbitrations, and labor disputes. Mr. Kiesewetter has assisted numerous clients in developing preventive strategies to reduce their exposure to future legal and/or human relations problems. Mr. Kiesewetter received his J.D. degree, cum laude, from the St. Louis University School of Law. He also holds an A.B. degree from the University of Missouri and an M.A. degree from the University of Southern California. Before entering private practice, Mr. Kiesewetter served as a trial attorney with the National Labor Relations Board’s 14th Region. Mr. Kiesewetter is admitted to practice before several federal district courts, four United States Courts of Appeals, as well as the state courts of Tennessee and Missouri. Mr. Kiesewetter is an active member of the American Bar Association’s Section on Labor and Employment Law and participates in the “Development of the Law Under the NLRA” and “Practices and Procedures Before the NLRB” committees. He is a contributor to the ABA’s treatise, The Developing Labor Law, and has served as an officer of the Labor and Employment Law Section of the Tennessee Bar Association. He is a member of the Federal Bar Association, the Memphis Bar Association, and the Metropolitan Bar Association of St. Louis. Additionally, he is a fellow of the Memphis Bar Foundation and the Tennessee Bar Foundation.
