Ms. Brown-Gibbs received her J.D. degree, cum laude, from the University of Richmond School of Law in 2007.  While attending law school, Ms. Brown-Gibbs served as a member of the Trial Advocacy Board, justice on the Honor Council, a teaching assistant, and President of the Black Law Student Association.  Ms. Brown-Gibbs was the recipient of the 2007 National Association of Women Judges Equal Access to Justice Scholarship, ABA/BNA Award for Excellence in the field of labor and employment law, and Best Respondent Brief for the Mid-Atlantic Region of the NBLSA Frederick Douglass Moot Court Competition.  Upon completion of her law degree, Ms. Brown-Gibbs served as a judicial clerk for Henrico County Circuit Court in Richmond, Virginia.

Ms. Brown-Gibbs attended Virginia Commonwealth University, where she graduated magna cum laude in 2003 with a B.A. in Criminal Justice and a minor in Political Science.  She received recognition for outstanding achievement from the Multicultural Student Affairs and Who’s Who Among American College Students.

Ms. Brown-Gibbs represents management clients in federal and state court employment litigation, including proceedings before various federal and state administrative agencies.  She is admitted to practice before the state courts of Virginia and Tennessee and the United States District Court for the Western District of Tennessee.  Ms. Brown-Gibbs is a member of the Virginia, Tennessee and American Bar Associations and is also a member of the Board of Directors for the Young Graduate Association of the University of Richmond School of Law
