Mr. Likens focuses his practice on the representation of management in employment litigation in state and federal courts and in administrative proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the United States Department of Labor.

Mr. Likens worked as an attorney with Kiesewetter Wise from its founding until he accepted a position as senior counsel, labor relations with Federal Express Corporation in Memphis.  Mr. Likens thereafter re-entered private practice working in employment litigation with a large regional practice before returning to Kiesewetter Wise in 2005.

Mr. Likens graduated with a B.B.A. degree in 1985 and a J.D. degree in 1988, both from the University of Memphis.  While in law school, he served as managing editor of The University of Memphis Law Review and was a recipient of the Herbert Herff Law Scholarship.  Upon graduation, he served as the law clerk to the Honorable Hewitt P. Tomlin, Jr., Chief Judge of the Tennessee Court of Appeals for the Western Section.

Mr. Likens is admitted to practice before the courts of the states of Tennessee and Mississippi, as well as before the United States Supreme Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.  He is a member of the Labor and Employment Law Sections of the Federal and Mississippi Bar Associations and a member of the Trial Tactics and Employment Law Committee of DRI.  He also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Memphis Recovery Centers, Inc.
